Thirteen additional speed camera locations were announced by Baltimore County Police Wednesday.
Drivers who speed at least 12 mph over the posted speed will receive warnings for the first 30 days, but then citations will be issued. Tickets can carry a $40 fines. Citations do not add points to drivers’ licenses.
Construction has begun at new sites, but police have not released a time frame for their activation. The additions will bring the number of speed camera sites in the county to 40, according to a list on the local government website.
