The office of Baltimore County Councilman David Marks will sponsor a public meeting to solicit input on the need for a Towson circulator, as well as any other ideas for improving mobility in Downtown Towson and surrounding communities.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 9 at 6 p.m. at the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce (102 W Pennsylvania Ave #101, Towson, MD 21204). In the event of inclement weather that closes Baltimore County Public Schools, the meeting will be postponed.

At this meeting, the committee established by Councilman Marks will present preliminary recommendations for a circulator.  The Greater Towson Committee’s Transportation and Placemaking Committee has been lead on this initiative.

“I invite all residents and business owners to share their perspective on the need for a Towson circulator,” Councilman Marks commented. “My personal view is that we need to explore options like this to improve mobility and plan for future growth.”

Senator Jim Brochin and Delegate Steve Lafferty are also members of the committee. Towson University, the Greater Towson Committee, and the Greater Towson Council of Community Associations are represented.

Matt Mueller, president of the Greater Towson Committee, thanked those who have spent the past half-year studying the issue. “Since the summer, our Transportation and Placemaking Committee has brought together residents, business owners, and other stakeholders to assess this issue. We thank all those who have participated and welcome any additional input before the report is adopted.”
