The Baltimore County Council on Tuesday paved a smoother path for Towson Row, a proposed $350 million mixed-use redevelopment project on York Road.
Council members unanimously approved a bill allowing the county’s permits director to grant Towson Row exemptions to certain rules for height, area and signage.

The new public parking rates and hours instituted in Towson two months ago are already being revised. Baltimore County Revenue Authority’s July 1 changes affected the nearly 4,800 parking spaces the quasi-government agency oversees.

Earlier in the month, on July 1, Mills, CEO of the Baltimore County Revenue Authority, instituted changes in public parking rates and hours with the dual goals of maximizing parking spaces and avoiding the dreaded gridlock.
Construction is slated to begin this month at Donnybrook Apartments on a new parking lot, a project that will remove a large parcel of green space but alleviate the parking crunch by residents on nearby streets.
